At Melbourne Primary School we offer nursery provision for children aged three years and above. Children can start with us in our nursery the term after their 3rd birthday. We welcome a new intake of nursery children at the beginning of every school term.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday and runs during term time. Our nursery session times are:
- Morning: 8.30am -11.30am (3 hours)
- Afternoon: 11.30am -14.30pm (3 hours)
- Wraparound session: 14.30pm -15.00pm (30 minutes)
Your child’s nursery place can be paid for using your 15 universal funded hours or, if you are eligible, your 30-hour entitlement. To check if you are eligible, please see 30 hours childcare funding for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds for more information.
If you use your funded hours with another nursery provider or would like your child to attend additional hours (in excess of your funding entitlement), sessions can be paid for privately.
The cost of our nursery sessions as of January 2026 are:
- Morning 3 hour session: £18
- Afternoon 3 hour session: £18
- Wraparound session 30minutes: £3
- Full day: £39
