Head Teacher's Welcome
As Headteacher, it is my privilege to welcome you to Melbourne Primary School. We aim to meet one core purpose - to inspire confident learners who will reach their full potential with a dose of fun as they do!
Melbourne Primary is a friendly village school, situated in the Parish of Melbourne in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The school offers high quality teaching and learning and excellent pastoral care. We attract families from Melbourne, Everingham, Bielby and Thornton. We also currently have pupils from East Cottingwith, Pocklington, Ellerton, Market Weighton and beyond.
At Melbourne Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment in which children will be happy, enjoy learning, and develop positive relationships with others. Our vision is for academic excellence whilst promoting the moral, cultural, spiritual, social and physical development of our pupils. We strive to make our school welcoming, open and friendly with a positive ethos where the views of the children and parents are valued.
We are a fully inclusive school and strive to ensure equality of opportunity for all our pupils. Our aim is that all children are supported to fulfil their potential in all aspects of the curriculum. We believe a close partnership between home and school is central to achieving this and look forward to working with you and your child throughout their time at Melbourne Primary School.
This website aims to give you an overview of the school, as well as providing regular updates and information for both existing and prospective parents of our school.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. If you would like further information or would like to come and visit us, please contact the school office on 01759 318369 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to meeting you and your child(ren) and to welcoming you to our school!
