We place equal value and emphasis on the untaught aspects of the curriculum and the values and experiences we provide for our pupils which stretch beyond those outlined in the national curriculum. These experiences aim to supplement the curriculum as well as immerse pupils in their learning and bring their learning to life.
Equal Opportunities and SEND
The school ethos recognises that equal opportunities encompass gender, nationality, ethnicity, culture, disability, age, sexuality, religion and special educational needs. Children are treated fairly and are given equal opportunity to take part in activities across the whole school curriculum.
Equality is an important part of the planning and teaching of lessons. When planning work for children with special educational needs we give due regard to information and targets contained in the support plans. We have high expectations of all children and we believe that the equality principles underpin work and life through the school.
For further information regarding how we support children with SEND please see the Special Educational Needs section of the website which can be found here.
Long term plans
Please see the two-year long-term plans which detail the content/objectives to be covered by each year group in each subject across the curriculum.
For detailed information about the content of our curriculum please view the subject pages in 'also in this section.' Here you can find details of the curriculum schemes we follow.
